Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum) is a perennial deciduous ornamental tree or shrub known for its elegant, palm-shaped leaves and beautiful seasonal colour changes. It produces small reddish flowers in spring, while its foliage turns shades of yellow, orange and red in autumn; mature plants can reach 2–10 metres in height depending on the cultivar.
