Seeded lawn

When choosing lawns, attention should be focused on the types, depending on the purpose. Lawn seeding can be successfully carried out both in spring and in autumn. The seeding rate for lawn grasses depends on the type of lawn and the growing conditions. It ranges from 30 to 50 grams per square meter, or 3–5 kilograms per 100 square meters

At O2 Gardens, we offer the following range of seeds from the Dutch brand Barenbrug

Barenbrug Dry & Strong 20-40 m2 - The advantage of this type is that it can withstand periods without watering. Standard grasses usually have shallower roots, while this type develops roots up to about 50 cm deep, allowing it to resist drought.

Barenbrug Quick Repair 30-50 m2 - Mainly used on playgrounds, where quick restoration of the grass cover is needed. These seeds can even be sown when the soil surface temperature is as low as 4°C.

Barenbrug Shadow & Sun 50 m2 - Designed for shaded areas. Contains seed varieties that grow very densely even in shade, creating a thick grass cover.

Barenbrug Tough & Easy 50 m2 - Highly resistant to both heat and drought. It grows relatively quickly and develops a dense root system. The grass cover is somewhat tougher in texture, which makes it widely used in playgrounds.

Sod lawn

The seed planting mixture is selected according to each type of lawn. A standard-sized roll has the following parameters:

• Width – 0.4 m
• Width – 0.4 m²
• Thickness – 15–20 mm
• Length – 2 m

For special and parterre lawns, the slab format can reach 5 × 8 m, with a grass layer thickness of up to 2 cm and a green carpet thickness of 6–7 cm.
